For Train Lovers Only…

We’ll hit the rails as we make stops at the Deutsche Bahn Museum in Nuremberg and the Steam Locomotive Festival in Dresden. We’ll spend a day at Miniatur Wunderland – the world’s largest model train exhibit in Hamburg. We will pull into Dortmund and wander the aisles at Intermodellbau – the world’s largest model-making and model sports expo,  make a stop at the DGEG Museum – the German Railway History Company’s nearly 50,000 square foot home to the biggest railway museum in Germany and take a ride on the Wuppertal Schwebebahn – a suspension railway that’s the oldest electric elevated railway with hanging cars in the world.

We even throw in a few things off the rails.

You’ll enjoy a traditional German dinner at the world famous Hofbrauhaus and check out the stunning sites in the Bavarian capital of Munich; tour a Bavarian castle; see the ancient inner city of Nuremberg and wander the market and toy museum; climb aboard a ship for a day cruise on the Elbe River; visit the Konigstein Fortress; and marvel at the architecture of the Cologne Cathedral before taking in a few sites on a Cologne city tour.

An English/German speaking tour guide who will accompany your group for the entire tour.
