I enjoyed a long career (40 years) in various aspects of medical sales and was looking forward to a much-anticipated retirement so I could spend more time on my hobbies of wood working, photography and travel.
After about 6 months I quickly discovered that one cannot easily travel all the time, and that the hobbies just did not fill the remainder of my readily available time, so I decided to put one of my other hobbies (creating databases) to use and go back to work helping a young company. While I did get to travel extensively in the US, traveling to places like Idaho Falls was not the travel I was looking for as I wanted to visit places like Rome to see the Vatican or China to see the Terracotta Warriors, so after about 2 years I once again went into retirement.
But, that too was short lived as I entered the travel industry to put my hobbies of photography and travel to good use. When I am not actively traveling myself, I am able to put my experiences and hobbies to use while assisting you with your travels.
I am happy to report that I have fulfilled my dream of visiting the Vatican and getting to Xian to see those Warriors, what destination can I help you visit?
Growing up an Air Force brat, I moved often and had a chance to explore the US until we moved to Germany when I was a teenager. From there it was on to the rest of the world! I joined the Air Force out of college and lived in Greenland, Italy and again in Germany, continuing to indulge my wanderlust as I explored much of Europe.
When I left the military, I didn't stop traveling, spending all my vacation time extending my explorations to India, Morocco, Peru, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands and Panama. I started a plan to see the world alphabetically in 2002 with two rules – I can’t go back to anywhere I’ve already been; and the 48 contiguous US states don’t count (I plan to start over with the US states when I finish my international plan).
I love to experience the cultures of places, focusing on food and adventure. Some highlights of my travels include spending a week on horseback in Romania’s Carpathian Mountains, wandering the Medina in Fez, Morocco,
riding a horse-drawn carriage around the Christmas market of Krakow, Poland, and snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean off the Galapagos Islands. I’ve even spent some time in a hot tub of beer in Prague!
Whatever your travel dreams are, I can help you figure out a way to make them happen. Where do you want to go?
